Cookie Policy
BookTrades currently uses only strictly necessary browser storage. We do not run advertising, marketing or analytics trackers, so there is no consent banner to click through.

What we store in your browser
- A secure session token stored by our authentication provider, so you stay signed in and your account stays protected. This is set only after you sign in.
- Short-lived technical values needed to complete sign-in and password reset flows.
These are strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for, so under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations they do not require consent.
What we do not use
- No advertising or retargeting cookies.
- No third-party analytics or behavioural tracking.
- No social media tracking pixels.
- No cross-site profiling of any kind.
Fonts and external resources
Our pages load a web font from Google Fonts. This does not set cookies, but the request does reach Google's servers and includes your IP address. We plan to self-host fonts before general launch to remove that dependency.
Managing browser storage
You can clear cookies and site data at any time in your browser settings. Clearing them will simply sign you out of BookTrades.
If this changes
If we ever add analytics or any non-essential cookie, we will add a consent banner that lets you accept, reject or manage those cookies before they are set, and we will update this page. Questions: privacy@booktrades.co.uk.
